Born Again was released in 2006 as a house track by
Ricky L featuring vocals by
M:ck (alias Adam Clay).
The song was based on Sizzla’s “Babylon Ah Listen” and initially
did not become a major mainstream success, except for charting in
Flanders. Later, in 2009, the track regained popularity thanks to the
Balearic Soul Remix, which even reached the number 1 position in
the Netherlands.

In the years that followed, the song remained a cult classic in house
and progressive circles. Multiple remixes and covers were
released, including a version by
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano in 2018.
Tao Andra released her own techno interpretation in 2026. It is
a rework/cover of the original track by Ricky L. Original
vocalist Adam Clay recorded new vocals for Tao Andra’s
version. The release came out via Zeitgeist in collaboration with
Universal Music Germany. Tao Andra transformed the track into a
modern, dark techno sound, but retained the recognizable
melodic core.
