"Silence" is a song by Canadian group Delerium featuring vocals by Sarah McLachlan. The song appeared on their 1997 album Karma. On May 3, 1999, the original song was first released in the US and Canada as the album's third single. On June 14 of that year, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand followed. The single became best known through various trance remixes, with DJ Tiësto's version, released on October 30, 2000, being the best known and most successful.
One of the biggest stars of the '90s techno scene, DJ Quicksilver, real name Orhan Terzi, left his mark on the musical landscape with his iconic sound. With hit tracks such as "I Have a Dream" and "Bellissima," he sold over 500,000 copies in Great Britain and achieved a gold record. His remixes have earned him collaborations with legends such as the band Faithless.
